I remember being 3 years old and sitting at an old rinky dinky computer thinking this was like a video game. It was the ONLY program we had for that computer and also the only one that would have probably worked! Because of this program I knew how to properly type in flipping Kindergarten and now at 22, can type over 150 wpm. It's so awesome to see this program again just for the fun and memories of it! Thanks!

@Pedro Mendes: Log in by any existing account, and you'll be able to change the name in Main Menu -> Options -> Name . Alternatively, you can also delete the file TT.HIS and create a new file with the same filename. You'll be able to input your name and you can't input 09 or 2009 as the year because TT's limitation. But the new TT.HIS file can't be saved in my WinXP's Command Prompt window somehow.

After registering, I was able to download the program. But, unfortunately, it suffers from the same problem I found some time ago: the history file is full, and it is not possible to start a fresh new student. Does anybody know how to reset history? Erasing the file doesn't work.

Hello,
I have used Typing Tutor IV in 1987 (in Mozambique) to learn to type. I learnt so fast and easily that I never forgot it. Later on, I have tried to find something similar for my wife, and now for my young kid, and was surprised to find out that none of the current softwares are so good as plain old Typing Tutor IV.
I fully recommend this software, and my congratulations to Freddie and the other developers

When I was 18 sometime in 1995 I was addicted using typing tutor everyday before doing any kind of computer activity. After 4 years I was able to type in it at 90WPM at the most advanced settings including all symbols! Even the millennium bug didn't stop my addiction. Until I lost it few years ago after virus attack. Now i'm getting !!! thanks you so much !!!
